I am using an Xbox one controller with a wired connection and it's the same thing for wireless. If you're trying to play with an Xbox controller, the right stick and right trigger won't work and the button mappings will be all messed up. Xbox controller on NHL 09 won't work but you can fix it. I'm not sure what the equivalent is on AMD but it should be pretty similar. To launch the game, go into Nvidia Control Panel, on the left hand side select "Adjust image settings with preview" and change the value there from "Use advanced 3D image settings" to "Let the application decide." However, this still didn't work for me and I kept getting a black screen.
exe file in Nvidia Control Panel (NOT Geforce Experience) or AMD's Catalyst program. To fix this you need to enable V-Sync for the. The game will likely black screen and not launch properly. You can also skip the sign-in screen for EA.
You don't need the EA Download Manager so just skip it. Just go through it and install it to C:/Program Files (x86)/EA Sports/NHL 09 (default install path).
